The prints by Dolores Marat were shown at the Photographers Gallery in London
I think last year. They had an extremely curious quality, although since most
of the images were unsharp or blurred in any case it was difficult to really
assess the process. They were very grainy, the colours generally rather muted.
The reproductions I saw - in magazines and the gallery publication - of them
at the time were actually far superior in terms of what we normally think of
as 'print quality' although I think less suited to the subject matter/approach
of the photographer which (I think) was intended to represent glances not
quite seen clearly, perhaps as flashbacks of memory or a images from a dream.

If this is the kind of approach that interest you then I think 4 colour
Fresson may be very suitable, but unless the books are a lot more faithful
than the reproductions I've seen you will find them misleading.
