gloy and gum

Indeed, glue may just be glue. But look at the per ounce cost of Gloy
versus even the bloated cost of big volumes of gum arabic obtainable from
Daniel Smith in Seattle or Photographers Formulary. I am inclined to
follow the KISS rule in matters photographical. Keep It Simple, Stupid.
If you are not getting good results with commercial gum the chances are
that the problem is with something else you are (or are not) doing, not the
