It is NOT extremely dangerous.

It is a common or garden process undertaken by many people as an everyday
actiovity. The etching fluids are at such a state of dilution that many
do not even bother to wear gloves when handling the plates.

Do not breathe in the fumes and handle the undiluted acids acids with care.
Just show respect for the materials.

There is far too much scaremongering about these things.
