I use ammoniam citrate developer. EDTA clearing agent. I use platinotype
and kids finish Cranes paper. I do not size additionally. I use one
coating
of emulsion, applied with glass rod,
which I air dry for 10 minutes and accelerate with a hair dryer. No
additional
humidity.

On the basis of you pays your money and takes your choice.

I use FP4 film and PQ Universal developer or acid amidol. This combination
gives me straight line negs with good separation of tones and good even
gradation from the deepest shadows to the highlights.

I print these negs onto Fabriano Artistico Satina or hot pressed Saunders
Waterford. I size the paper as with most papers this improves the final
result I sensitise with a platinum palladium mix using a hakebrush. Both
the size and the sensitiser are dried with hot air and the paper is then
humidified,. I use potassium oxalate as the developer and EDTA as the
clearing agent..
