I'm the one that mentioned the Uno. I don't print on Artistico so I'm
not sure how direct a comparison I can make, however I have sheet of
propoganda about the Uno and is *seems* that the differences might be:
a) different surface sizing
b) availability of new Soft Press finish.
Here's what the sheet says:
[stuff deleted about 13th century history...]
... Fabriano continues it's legacy of quality and innovation with the
debut of Fabriano Uno. Designed in collaboration with Savoir-Faire and
its advisory board of nationally reknowned watercolorists, Fabriano Uno is
a state of the art watercolor paper which exceeds the exacting demands of
the American artist. [ as if artists aren't demanding anywhere else. ed.]
Fabriano Uno bears one of the first watermarks in recorded history, a
simple cross symbolizing the nobility of the paper [can a piece of paper
*be* noble? ed.] Through extensive research and analysis, Fabriano Uno
brings together the best charcteristics of the leading watercolor papers
into one superior Italian-made paper.
Exclusive to Fabriano Uno is a brand new fourth watercolor surface called
Soft Press with an exquisite velvety texture which lies between
traditional Hot and Cold press.
