Bleaching palladium prints

I just found this 1992 correspondence from Diane Watras of Providence RI.
She describes locally bleaching areas of palladium prints.

First she makes 3 dilutions of hardware store muriatic acid 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3

She then brushes this carefully onto the area to be lightened using the
appropriate dilution for the amount of lightening.

This is then activated with "Clorox Cleanup" a bleach with cleaner which I
suppose plain Clorox will work.

Haven't tried it yet and this is best done in a well ventilated area fer
sure fer sure.

I'd appreciate any reports back on this.
