A query for a QUICK answer

My students have been doing salt prints. Most are doing very good work.
They've been printing on Fabriano hot press 140#
The salting solution is :

20 gr Sod. Citrate
18 gr Sod. Chloride
2 gr Gelatin in one liter of tapwater

The sensitizer is :
124 gr Silver Nitrate
in 1 liter of distilled water

Generally images are fine BUT in some area a sort of reddish-purplish
color as a stain is present. In certain areas it is more of a bluish
purple.

Any ideas re this would be most helpful.
I know I write this quite late for most but if you have a thought please
post ASAP as I'd like to present some solutions in class tomorrow in 12
hours.

Thanks
Jack Fulton
