For those interested in the Fresson/Artigue discussion, and if you have
access to back issues of the Photographic Journal, see the May/June 1978
issue, pp.130-134. According to the newest Photo Historian Supplement of
the Royal Photographic Society, this will give you "full working
details". I haven't seen it myself; I can only pass on the reference.
The supplement also mentions working details available in the following:
BJA,1910,p.5664 quoting from Phot. Kunst, Nov. 1908. p.285 (not checked),
and the Dictionary of Photography 15 Edn, pp.47-49. These are the
notations of the RPS supplement, not mine.
