Correction: I do not have an Epson 800, and never made the above statement.
My statement was generic, hopefully to be applied to any printer, but not
necessarily true for all printers. I use the ALPS MD-2300, and I can state
unequivocally double black works on that machine (the setup window allows
you to enable the option).
