No, not really. As it has been mentioned, as long as the density range of your
silver negative allow you to print the full tonal range that your process is
capable of printing, there is NO reason why the pyro negatives is better in
alt. process compared to silver. The curve of your silver negatives can be
*easily* modified to achieve the effects described and discussed so far. I
have followed the pyro thread, so let me take this opportunity to get into the
discussion.
