I did notice on dark images a substantial darkening, dut no clumping. In
the manual it says the defaualt is a higher contrast and more saturation.
You can either adjusted with testing in Photoshop to get a more accurate
result, ot play with the Epson controls in the print dialog. The manual
says you have full control of brightnes, contrast, sat, c, m, y, etc.

I wonder if 360DPI is still to high? that would allow only 4 ink drops
max to make up that collor. My guess is it would be lower. I haven't had
the time to test that.
