<< Strictly technically speaking, Fresson is an imperfect printing system with
problem of registration, inaccurate and unsaturated colors, poor
repeatibility, and is difficult to manufacture / process. >>
Re-reading my own message, I think it sounded like I was describing Fresson as
a terrible process, and I might get answer like "when you see an actual print,
you will know." Well, I am not talking about the aesthetics of the prints.
That I know already. I don't even have to look at an actual print. Let's put
it this way, even when I first saw a cheap magazine repro, I was already so
attracted by it. I know it will be much more overwhelming when I see an actual
print.
I guess my question was about the making of a decent living. Why is it that
the Fresson family can do so well with a difficult process which produce
unique, beautiful prints whereas carbon printers cannot with their beautiful
prints (although different from Fresson prints)?
