I don't know if anyone remembers the original posting, but it went
something like: My salted paper and argyrotype prints were suddenly
bleaching away in the darks. The really strange thing was it was happening
only to the darks. Several of the group kindly offered possible remedies.
What did cure my problem was that I changed the sizing of the paper. I was
using Knox gelatin as a sizing agent. I switched on a thought to the hard
240 bloom type and my problem went away. I changed nothing in the sizing
procedure, except to use the harder gelatin. I also tried Niagara Spray
Starch from the grocery store with very nice results.
This is one of the nice things about alt porcesses, the possiblities never
seem to end, nor does the fun.
Thanks for the help again.
