This rather reminds me of the time someone from Singapore turned up asking
to look at my gum prints.
When I pointed out the fan heater, used to give a strong directional flow of
warm air to ensure quick drying, he looked completely blank. He explained
that if the temperature in Singapore falls below 70 in Singapore it is
headline news.

I used to use the unheated but directed air from a fan heater to play
across the carbon tissue and the perspex but as I would certainly agree
with Luis that it is better to hang up the tissue to dry, I now only
squeegee the carbon tissue onto the perspex to smooth it down and dry off
he back with kitchen towel, then I hang it up in the dark.

The 'professionals' use special dessication equipment that is consistently
effective but one needs economic justification to spend that kind of money.

The point remains that those of who have made carbon prints know what an
effective medium it is. I have a negative with a wide density range which
prints beautifully in platinum with white clouds against the sky. When
used for carbon all the modelling detail in the clouds appears. That detail
is between 2.6 and 2.8 on the negative.
