Terry/Pete/Art/Dick: I hope this gets to the alt list and certainly to
Terry. (It is hard for me to tell what happens sometimes to
email/messages/list notes.) Anyway, it sounds like a few of us are anxious
to get some closure on APIS. What a treat Oporto would be, but careful
apis AND individual planning is necessary. I cranked on Carlos a little
bit and have heard nothing back. Jack Fulton in California seems to be his
sponsor for the American interlude that Carlos is taking (Jack is on the
list) so perhaps he can relay some of this to Carlos who seems to have his
modem turned off.
I will make every effort to attend APIS no matter where or when it is held,
but practical considerations increasingly prevail. I can also be
persuaded to go elsewhere. Bath is the most beautiful city in Britain (as
I have written) and, forgive the chauvinism, Santa Fe is the most beautiful
city in America. I think the main thing though is to get together and to
have a well-organized program in whatever venue is settled upon. Karl
