Liver of sulphur may no longer be available under this name, but it is
simply potassium sulphide (or potassium sulfide) which is listed in the
Alfa catalogue (it can be made by fusing potassium carbonate and sulphur
for those with a laboratory and suitable equipment - but look up the
details and any possible hazards.)

Sodium sulphide is possibly more widely available and formulae using this
are probably little different in their effectiveness.
