Super XX had a couple of characteristics which made it especially useful
for making color separation negatives. First, the H&D curve (really should
be called a plot) was straight over a long range with a very short toe.
Secondly, the contrast of the film for different colors was about the same.
Many films, particularly the older ones had contrast which varied enough
with color to make processing color seps difficult. It also had a more
uniform color sensitivity than most other pan films. T-Max probably equals
or exceeds it in these characteristics along with much finer grain.
