The work in LensWork was produced by Color Technology, Inc. (CTI) in
Portland, OR.

Their website has some information on the Chromapress,
(www.colortechnology.com).

I contacted them regarding a job I had in mind and was very pleased with
their cooperation.

I decided not to use them simply because they would have had to translate my
Adobe Pagemaker files, (PC) to QuarkXpress (MAC) to run on their press.

I discovered that there are other digital presses manufactured and found a
local printer (Denver) who can print my job without the translation.

Because I am printing a business plan, I'm not concerned with permanence,
and haven't addressed this issue with my printer.

More info on the Chromapress is available at:

To find out who uses one near you go to:

If you're looking for somebody to do large prints, you'll need to find a
printer who has the latest model, the 50i.

The 32i has a maximum imaging area of 12.1 x 17.7". The 50i can do 18.7" by
any length.

Unfortunately, only two 50i models are installed, one in Paris, France, and
the other in Luton, England.

For making prints directly from digital files, I would suggest you look into
using the Cymbolic Sciences LightJet 5000 digital printer.

Output can be up to 48x96". Qualtity is phenomenal.
