As I have yet to attend an APIS (1999 in Santa Fe will likely be my
first chance) this is surely an idea from an "outsider who is looking
in"...
How can the benefits of APIS be passed-along to those who can't be
there? Audio (or video) recordings of sessions, perhaps? (Typing
transcripts from a recording is like being bit to death by a duck!)
Outlines or summaries from presenters, perhaps? Color photos of prints
shown? (Yes, I agree this does not do them justice...)
I, for one, would be willing to pay (in advance) for such extended
benefits as these. Perhaps a $25-$50 in-advance contribution would get
a summary package of use to either attendee or stay-at-home?
