Printing Frames

I have purchased a number of print frames from Photographer's Formulary in
sizes 8x10, 11x14 and 16x20. They are reasonably priced. The frames are good
and solid and have well-made, hinged, split backs. However, I have one
complaint. The back is held on by a series of spring clips so that to open
the back of a 11x14 frame for example you must undo about 8 or 10 clips. They
are a little hard on the fingers but they do they job, that is, until they
break which for some of the frames I have used is often. You can put the clips
back together with some effort and a screwdriver, but once they break they seem
to come apart more often. I have some antique frames made of maple wood and
brass that I bought at flea markets that still work very well but are 5 x 7
and smaller. I wish I could find some like them in larger sizes.
