As carbon and platinum are capable of producing results that exceed nearly
all other processes in terms of tonal range and subtlety of gradation, it
does, as Luis implies, seem a pity to throw away these advantages by using
lith film, even when developed to continuous tone, when continuous tone
film will do the job so much better. After all the cost of the film is
minor in relation to the overall costs. Use the right tool for the job.
