I am not sure wether the following message was sent allready as I
haven't got it back from the list server. If you got it twice, please
ignore it this time...
---------------------------------------

Dear Martin Becka and others looking forward to APIS 2000,

Paris certainly is worth a visit. But Cologne, of course, too... ;-)What
Martin is describing for Paris is almost identical to what would happen
in Cologne. So before we start competing for this and before there is
the chance that somebody could be hurt, let me suggest that the French
and the German organisation team should discuss this offlist. Maybe we
can profit from synergy effects... Just in case we find no solution to
which both can agree we might ask the list members for their vote. Just
to show how similar the program could be:

-we will have the Photokina, one of or even the most important world
fair of photography and digital imaging, many of us will go there
anyway...

-it is not unlikely that we will have a stand there, so the effect on
the public might be enormous,

-there will be photographic exhibitions not only in museums and
galleries devoted to photography but also in many other places, their
number being similar to the exhibitions in Paris,

-we would be supported by the Colgne Museum Ludwig/AGFA Photo Historama
which owns the most important German collection of 19th century
photography,

-we would as well get support from the German Photographic Society,

-we were also thinking of a 3-5 day program with lectures,
workshops,visits etc., etc.

So, again, lets get in touch and see how we can coordinate for APIS
2000.

p.s.: Luis, Paris is just four hours by train from Cologne. You could
have breakfast there, lunch on the Photokina and dinner in Paris
again... ;-)
