I think APIS at Oporto is essentially dead. Carlos has just not done his
homework. Put differently, his promises and expectations did not live up
to his abilities. Too bad. He was terribly eager at APIS Bath to have
this show in his own country. Every attempt to contact him personally has
failed. He has posted a perfectly reasonable program, but there is just no
follow-through.
He seems unable to understand that for those of us with busy schedules and
financial limits cannot commit to a program so vague and iffy. So, I
pulled out. I know people who are going with fingers crossed, but I cannot
be one of them. Karl
