But Melody and I are unfortunately committed, airline tickets and all. For
others who are, let's coordinate and meet in a cafe for an eveneing.
Hmm since the Portugese government is sponsoring this event I wonder if
they will reimburse for the cost of the airline tickets if it fails to go?
I once mentioned building a worldwide organization that would among other
things sponsor and sanction APIS events. Some shivvered their timbers over
the thought of another organization with all the bureaucracy involved, but
I think the failure of APIS 98, should clue us in that there needs to be an
organization -- particlularly local chapter behind events like this. They
are really not one man or woman affairs.
I have a pretty solid core here in Santa Fe and Albuquerque (I think Karl
will join in) that I know would work to help build the U.S. organization
Comments anyone.
