I have found "cheap" copper to be very expensive because of the
labor involved in cleaning it up. A metals scrap yard will have usable
copper for bargain prices but you will spend many hours preparing your
plates. For me "cheap" copper arrives mirror finished ready for the
creative touch.
I get my mirror finished copper shipped UPS from George Sherman at
C.G. Metals (914) 358-8364 current prices for one full sheet 36"x 96" are:
thickness unpolished mirror finish
.032 $170 $238
.040 $215 $300
.050 $275 $385
George will also cut to your specifications, usually for no extra charge,
and they have a 12 foot shear!

A happy customer, Jeff Kropp
