Are you volunteering to transcribe the 15 hours of tapes ? Ot to pay to
have them transcribed and edited.

Remember that work of this kind is voluntary and that even when volunteers
volunteer there is no obligation on them to do what they have volunteered
to do. Other pressures may get in the way or they may lose interest when
faced with all that material. They may wonder, for example, whether anyone
is really going to want to read most of it.

If they are to paid there has to be money to pay them. This means
additional costs that have to be recovered. For the costs to be recovered,
without the voluntary organiser accepting financial risk, there has to be
up front money which increases initial costs which may mean that that the
event may prove uneconomic to run at all.
