This has been discussed several times in sci.engr.color newsgroup. I believe
the basic concept is based on simultaneous contrast of hues. The impression I
get from the discussion is that while 2 color can produce the impression of
full color for non-saturated colors as in a landscape, it cannot produce image
with full saturated colors.
