Dave,

This is why I pointed out earlier in the discussion that it requires 600
dpi image resolution from a 4800 dpi imagesetter to output a negative
that stands a chance of making a convincing platinum print. These
numbers bring you to the discernible edge of both resolution and tone at
normal viewing distances. 1200 dpi printers are short by a factor of
