Try looking up Used Printing Equipment supplierers in the Yellow pages.
Also, consider calling around to local print shops and see if someone
has one collecting dust that they would happily sell to you.

I recently picked up a Nu-Arc 26-1K (1,000 watt metal halide, integrated
vaccuum frame and light integrator (i.e. timer), great condition) from
someone who had bought it at an auction. Cost to me was $350. You
shouldn't have to pay more than about $500 for one in relatively good
condition.

The light integrator is a "timer" that measures total light output
rather than the amount of time the light has been on. Based on the way
my unit works, I would highly recommend you hold out for a unit with the
light integrator feature. Most of the "newer" models are likely to have
them. Mine was made in 1983.

By the way, I was suprised to find that this unit is *not* faster than
my 40-watt flourescent UV light box. If anything, it is a bit slower.
I wonder if my Metal halide bulb needs replacing...?
