>>I've heard of people doing this, but I've never been able to strip the back
evenly. Any idea how to do it evenly?<<

My technique which works most of the time, but not all the time ;-< is this -:

Take your piece of RC paper, stick it face down on three sides with tape.
then take a wooden ruler and sharply tap the upper edge of the fourth side
some patience is needed at this stage, after several sharp tapes you should
see the top edge begin to separate from the base, carefully prize this edge
away from the base, attach it to a wooden dowl with selotape. then simply
roll and the back will separate from the print. However you are still left
with quite a quantity of paper pulp fibre which still has to be removed. To
do this put on your rubber gloves and take some concentrated caustic soda
and a lump of cotten wool which should quickly remove this residue. It is
probably a good idea to stick the fourth side down before you start this
treatment, and just after you have started to strip ,with the dowl

Hope this helps
