Subject: Bromoil Exibit
The Butler Institute of American Art on 524 Wick Avenue in Youngstown, Ohio, is showing over 50 bromoil and transfer prints through February 21, 1999.
The exhibit features the beautiful works by the old masters including Paul L. Anderson, John St. Aubyn, Clarence Koch, Georgia Procter-Gregg, Leonard Missone, J.Y. Brown and Lawrence Schreiber.
The show is assembled by David W. Lewis from Callendar, Ontario, whose astonishing prints are also included in this wonderful example of the art of the bromoil process.
This exhibit is a must to see for anybody interested in alt photo processes.
(The next bromoil and transfer workshop offered by David Lewis in the U.S. will be April 25-29, 1999, in Summersville, West Virginia. Please contact me off-list for more info)
