Yes, I know. I meant you were talking about making silver gelatin prints from
silver gelatin negatives.

Not exactly, for the reasons that I mentioned. Again, for silver negative you
are looking at details that will be enhanced. For long-scale negatives where
the contrast is almost the same as the final prints (visually), there could be
areas where you see separation in the negative but not on the prints or vice
versa.
