Speaking of stable or not....<G>

Just for kicks try:

Goldens Polymer Varnish with UVLS (gloss)...1 oz.
Tannic Acid ................................1 tsp.

Mix well, coat, let dry or dry quick with a hair dryer.
(Or mix T.A. with water first before mixing with Varnish.)
(Adjust amount of T.A.)

(Coat dry print, horizontally or vertically..(or on an angle.)
(Thick with a brush or thin by swiping with paper towel.)

(Plain varnish/blue-purple --- Mix/reddish brown-black)
(No apparent density loss.)

No guaranties on stability...but interesting research. <G>)
