Richard,

You'll want much more contrast for Pt/Pd. Somewhere around 2.0 for the
highlights is a good starting point. You may also find it's good to
place Zone I values higher than for silver, perhaps at .2 above fog
instead of .1

A conventionally processed negative appropriate for Pt will be contrasty
enough to need something like a 0 or 00 silver-paper-grade. (There is a
way to make negatives that can print in either silver or Pt, by using
pyro developers for the neg).
