Re the Melissa and other viruses and attachments.
There is surely very little reason to need an attachment at all unless it
is an image or has to be a facsimile of an original document. Simply save
the text in DOS or ASCII plain text, and it can be incorporated into the
actual e-mail. I use this method frequently at work to communicate
documents to students and colleagues.
