The model 4 is now superseded and is may be available cheap. In used to sell
computers and know many pro users who swear by their model 3's.
I recently trashed another cheap scanner for the Microtek V310 and am
delighted with it. It does all I need and the ScanWizard driver alone is
worth the price. Its colour accuracy is superb when the adjustments are
used.
The model 4 & 5 are pro machines with a higher optical scan resolution and
large format transparency capability. If you need to seriously scan 35mm
film then a suitable specialist scanner is required
