Pinhole Weekend Workshops
Sat, May 15 and Sun, May 16

Participants may sign up for one workshop only. All workshops are two days
long and run simultaneously.

1. Pinhole Mural Workshop with Ilan Wolff

Ilan has used vans, oil drums, and classrooms as cameras to create
spectacular large-scale photogaphs. Participants will create a giant camera
obscura and mural photograph as a group, as well as individual projects.

2. Pinhole Printing Workshop with Robert Mann

Master printer Robert Mann will conduct the workshop focusing on darkroom
manipulation and magic. Participants will use pinhole cameras and Polaroid
55 film with which to create 4" x 5" pinhole negatives. A variety of
darkroom processes will be demonstrated with an emphasis on lith printing
technique.

3. Pinhole Photography using Zone Plates with Eric Renner

Explore the mysterious, intuitive, and primitive qualities of zone plate
photography. This little-known diffraction technique renders sensual soft
focus, glowing images. We will make zone plate images all weekend. Included
will be a slide presentation of contemporary zone plate imaging. Eric
Renner is the founder of the Pinhole Resource in New Mexico.

Ontario College of Art and Design,
100 McCaul St
Fee: $150 for two-day workshop by advance registration. Includes all
