Gary,

I used to have this kind of scratches sometimes on my
Bergger BPF200 when
rotation developing in different drums (3005 drum
designed for 5 sheets of
8x10" as well as 3062). The scratches didnīt show up
when tray developing.

I couldnīt explain the phenomenon at first but finally
found that scratches
were caused by very tiny hard lime particles in the tab
water which were
sticking in the tubes of dry drum. Pushing the film into
the 5 tubes caused
the fine sratches.

In the bigger (paper) drums the sheets can be shuffled
around during rotation
which caused scratches on my 11x14" negs until I made a
special mat for fixing
them. This is described in one of the recent Jobo Newsletters.

As I canīt make our water different - which has a very
high content of lime in
it - I now do another cleaning of the drumīs tubes
before I load them.
Scratches disappeared.

When you donīt succeed with this I would ask you to ship
a scratched sample
including the opened box so that we can do some research.
Our US rep John Horowy of Rockford will be happy to help you.

Best regards
