I have a section called "Current Events" for people to announce shows,
workshops, articles, books, etc. Should this have a different name perhaps?

I have also added a section called "Links" for people to be able to
describe their site, or site showing their work, and put a link in the
message. This will be a more or less "persistent" message. That is one of
the nice things about doing it this way is that some messages, like links,
can be left on board permanently. Other areas that are discussion based can
have their messages stick around for a week or so. It'll take some time to
figure out what the proper length of time should be.

It is also possible to have moderated groups where one or more people can
review and approve posts before they become public.

Version 4.0 is due out soon and I will get the upgrade. 4.0 allows for even
more better control and functionality.

BTW, Carl, lots of people were impressed with your work at APIS! The ink on
paper printing was also superb.
