Thank you for the enlightenment. On visiting Santa Fe for APIS, I did
suspect that the name "Zia" seem to be in abundant and perhaps
overabundant use. I certainly find it important to respect other
cultures including their symbols and names. It is one thing (I feel
acceptable) to utilized a symbol or name in a statement, whether
complementary or not (first amendment). I purposely choose to try to
not be personally disrespectful. It is quite another thing (which I
feel totally unacceptable) to utilize a symbol or name for commercial or
personal gain (unless that symbol or name is the invention of those
using it).

I can certainly respect the culture and people of the Zia Pueblo and
refrain from inappropriately using their symbols and names. This is not
difficult.
