Remember that for the lightjet each dot is not just black or white (or opaque
or clear). It can be shades of gray. In fact, in can be full shades or
colors, so 300 dpi is very very good already (if output at final size).
But the figure looks small. This is from the description of Lightjet 5000:
"The LightJet 5000 is essentially a giant film recorder and images at over
4,000 lines per inch in 36-bit color space (equivalent to 68 billion colors)."
