Dean,

I don't know who gave you those HORRIBLE (criminal?) prices on
imagesetter and Lightjet output, but I just spoke to PhotoVision (used to
be Katz Digital) there in N.Y. and they quoted the following prices for
imagesetter film. Now keep in mind, PhotoVision is a high-end kind of
place (I've taken workshop students on tours through the place several
times) that isn't known for their low prices. I'm sure you can do better
(even in N.Y.) but you might not get the same quality.

8.5 X 11 $28.75
8.5 X 14 $35.70
11 X 17 $41.80
18 X 22 $56.10
18 X 26 $69.35
20 X 30 $110
24 X 30 $130
24 X 36 $140
30 X 40 $180

If you want more info. call 212-594-4800 and ask for Rob at ext. 507.

Rob's hot tip is that if you ask for 1200 dpi output instead of 2400,
you'll pay 30% less and get the same quality because THEY RUN EVERYTHING
ON THE AGFA IMAGESETTERS AT 2400dpi!! The above prices are for the
"cheaper" 1200dpi (but really runs at 2400dpi) output. Good to know!

Hope this helps the New Yorkers!

Dan
