The way you coat Vellum will affect the way it dries. Since you are using a
relatively small coating area compared to a larger piece of paper, you are
causing the center of the paper to expand & then contract more than the edges of
the paper. This gives the wrinkled edge effect. First try to coat a smaller
piece of paper all the way to the edges, this will let it expand & contract
evenly. To use larger paper, you need to determine which direction the grain
runs & coat it to allow it to expand & contract evenly with the grain. Usually
you will have to coat to the edges perpendicular to the direction of the grain.
Try drying with blotter paper.
