hey folks,
its been a while since i've been on the list, but i was wondering if anyone
knew anything about the company named Black Box in chicago that produces
collotypes. I heard several years ago that they produced large (40x60!)
collotypes, but I have never seen them and wondered if anyone knew about
them. Apparently they have a made-for-collotype press that they work on.
All this to say that I heard they gave away all their presses and secrets
about the process. Does anyone know about this? I hope the collection of
stuff fell in public hands; I would love the chance to work that big in a
process in which I have only made 4x5 inch prints!
