Ayral,
I don't know of a chemical test for the AFO, but the simplest thing to
do--if you aren't just starting out--is to print a small negative you
have printed before, using exactly the same formula and exposure. If the
old and new prints are nearly identical, you're all set.
BTW, I'd expect AFO that's only six months old and stored cold in the
dark to be fine.
