Liam,

You had already indicated that Bergger film was not working okay, though
I have found it to be effective. For what it is worth I do the following.

Bergger BPF0 - 18, which is on a thick base, which I develop in HC-110
dilution A from 1.5 - 3 mins. Exposures are short. Then I use BPFO-10 for
the negative and develop in dilute paper dev for up to 3 mins max. BTW I
find that the Agfa neutol gives a little more contrast and density than
the PQ universal. Both films allow you to build up a lot of density and
time and dilution changes allow a lot of control. I would also report
that I have had no problems with mottling or streaking. Perhaps it was a
bad batch?

I'm happy with the results and Bergger film is available in all sizes and
is cheap here.

Sorry if I sound like stating the obvious but this film seems to work
well and is cheap here in Europe. Can I suggest a visit to
http://www.prophot.fr who list all Bergger products and pricing. Perhaps
it is possible to order direct from them...

Cheers
Hamish
