The best solution for Moiré patterns is to change the sizing/resolution of the
scanned image, and to scan the original at an angle if possible...

Here's a useful trick...

ReScan the image (rescan at a higher resolution than you originally did - if
possible) , placing the original at an angle to the "square" of the scanner...

When you open the image in Photoshop you can use the "Free Transform" command to
return it to it's proper orientation and recrop the image..

Also, if the preceding fails, try upsizing the final image by an odd integer,
like 3% or 7% and recropping it prior to printing...

Using "noise" or "gaussian blur" is a secondary choice, as it will lower the
image's contrast...

It sounds like a problem involving the frequency of the linen lines and the
resolution of the printer.. Not the scanner..
