anyone knows of a process that peels off the emulsion off of black and
white prints Is it also possible to do this with color prints?

YES
This is an easy process w/any RC print.
Soak in VERY hot water for about 3-4 minutes.
YOUR MUST BE CAREFUL W/HOT WATER but I use water that which has just come to
a boil in a kettle, about a quart (for an 8x10_) and pour into a tray an
insert the print.
In NORMAL situations the water will cool in the 3 or 4 minutes and it MAY
BE POSSIBLE TO PLACE YOUR FINGERS in the water.
If not, add some cold water to bring it to a temperature near 120º.
By using your finger and under water, slowly 'rub' the corner until you
realize the RC coating is satrting to seperate.
With your fingernails you can then grasp the edge of the RC coating and pull
away from the appaer backing.
At this point and still underwater the coating can be grasped by the thumb
and forefinger and w/a steady pull it will seperate from the paper and be
clean.
If the peeled image is not free of the paper you can retain it in the hot
water and rub gently and the excess portions of paper will rub right off.

With care, this is a very simple procedure. w/out care it can be clumsy and
close to impossible.
