Puzzling photo
I have a photographic portrait of an American Indian that seems to have been
made right in the camera, that is, there are notches on the portrait (6x8.5)
just like modern sheet film (although it's a positive not a negative). The
emulsion seems to have been brushed on to a sheet of cellophane and exposed
on the cellophane side. The portrait has a copper tint. It is very
reminiscent of a Curtis but of course is not a photogravure. Does anyone
have an idea what kind of process this was? Thanks for any help!
