In a way I feel guilty for passing the buck, but I figured better not to
say no for someone else, who knows when workshop or sale, or whatever
ensues -- tho, like I said, in this case I think Mike Ware is getting some
kind of subtle revenge ! As for learning to say no --- maybe we could do
a support group.... I have serious trouble with it, too. One thing that
does help is a general principle: I don't go above 14th Street, I don't
respond to telemarketing, I don't make purely social engagements, I don't
go to the web, etc. Not always successful, but at least a framework.

However, today I said yes & got delightful reward of short visit from
Jesseca Ferguson & Mark, in NYC for Mark's performance at Greenwich house.
We'd never met, tho corresponded.... think the enjoyment was mutual as we
talked shop, art, & life in art -- also mentioned your name a time or two
in wreathes of glory !

Oops sorry -- you know to a N Yorker it's all the same thing... And we
even have the gall to boast about it. But glad you pointed it out, save
perhaps serious embarrassment further down the line.

Sarah, you're singing my song. Maybe a message on the answering machine?
A T-shirt? A tattoo?

 Hope I

Well thanks for that.. I worry about shooting the mouth off so much
and somewhat against my better judgement -- a big time sink... the
compulsion to (as my sainted husband puts it) correct the world.
Fortunately I type fast...

Meanwhile, may your project be crowned with triumph... or at least
satisfaction,

best,

Judy
